Wednesday, April 10th, all MHS Juniors will participate in Arizona state standardized testing, which consists of the national ACT test. If you are a parent or guardian of an 11th grade student, please encourage them to get proper rest, eat something good, and try their best on every question. Even if they don't plan to go to college, every score counts!
Parents/Guardians:
Arizona will experience a solar eclipse; therefore, FMS will follow a “rainy-day” schedule with indoor recess to ensure the safety of our students. Classes that will be using the eclipse as a learning experience should have already sent home permission slips & will be utilizing verified & approved viewing glasses. Total time of the eclipse will be from 10:08 am-1:02 pm. If you sent your child to school with viewing glasses and give him/her permission to view the eclipse, you will need to come into the office prior to 10am to sign a note giving your child permission to do so, or you can sign your child out to view the eclipse with you. We're excited to share that our athletic field turf renovations are complete! Thanks to Freeport McMoRan, Arcadis, General Acrylics, and the Morenci community for making this possible. The transformation is incredible, and it's fantastic to see how these fields have improved our community's look. Not only do they look great, but they also provide an excellent environment for our student-athletes to excel. MUSD is grateful for all the support and can't wait for many successes and memorable moments on these fields!

Check out the latest addition to the MUSD fleet, BIG RED, designed by Jade Chavez, an MHS Alumnus - Class of 2014. Big Red features Morenci's iconic mountain outline and a historical tribute on the front - "the tunnel" that signified to many that they were in Wildcat Country on "The Hill."

Our 8th Grade transition day will be Wednesday April 3rd. This day WILL NOT be an early release day for 8th grade students. A letter with more information will go home with your students today. If you have any questions please call our office at (928) 865-3501.
Today's baseball and softball games in Pima have been postponed due to weather and field conditions. Baseball has been rescheduled for tomorrow in Morenci. JV will play at 4 and Varsity at 6. Softball will be rescheduled at a later date.
