Did you know that Fairbanks Middle School has a Hike and Ski Club? The club aims to inspire and educate our kids about the beautiful regions in Arizona and Eastern New Mexico. The objective is to introduce students to a lifelong hobby and equip them with valuable skills they can carry with them beyond school. We're all about having a great time and enjoying the outdoors, so our motto is simple: "We're not house cats; we're Wildcats!" The first outing was on Monday. The club had an opportunity to visit the Tonto Natural Bridge, the world's second-largest natural bridge. The kids quickly explored the visitor center and started a 3-mile hike around and through the bridge. The students enjoyed the breathtaking views of this impressive natural formation and had fun navigating the area's rocks, trees, and creeks. Overall, it was an excellent experience for everyone.

Last Friday, the MUSD Empowerment class had a blast at Apple Annie's Pumpkin Patch and Apple Orchard in Willcox. Carlos proudly displayed the enormous pumpkin he picked, Averix loved the corn maze and hay ride, and Colin found the corn maze easy and enjoyed the food. Miranda exclaimed, "Mmmm, yummy!" Kayslyn liked picking her pumpkin, and Justyce enjoyed hanging out with everyone. It was a day full of laughter and cherished memories! We are grateful to the Greenlee County School Superintendent's Office for providing the opportunity to have lunch at Isabel's South of the Border Restaurant. We're eagerly looking forward to more adventures with our Empowerment class in the future!
