The Varsity Softball game scheduled for tomorrow, 3/16, has been canceled. It will be rescheduled for a later date.

Morenci Early Learning Center was able to send home learning backpacks filled with supplies, books, manipulatives, practice ideas, and much more. We were able to do this with a grant we recieved through the Department of Economic Security. Have an amazing spring break, we know our preschoolers are going to enjoy these.




FMS students participated in bus evacuation drills on the morning of March 9th. Thank you to Oscar Salazar and the bus drivers who did an excellent job of teaching our students school bus safety.





FMS hosted the Knowledge Bowl competition Monday, March 6th in the Fairbanks MPR. Teams from Duncan, Thatcher, Pima, Safford, Wilcox and Morenci participated. Pima came away with the most points but our Wildcats took 2nd place!





The Morenci Public Library hosted FMS students for Read Across America, an event that encourages students to read and exposes them to the resources of the library.





Yesterday we celebrated with 34 Metcalf students who completed Finn's Mission during the Kids Heart Challenge! Kids who completed Finn's Mission went through eight steps to learn many life-saving skills like Hands-Only CPR.

Morenci High School would like to invite parents to visit our Culinary Arts Classroom during Parent-Teacher Conferences to see the new renovation of the space and get a sample of their amazing confections! Conferences will be held this Wednesday, March 8th, from 4 - 7 pm, in the HS MPR. We will also be offering some great prizes to attendees!


Here is the bus schedule for Spring Intersession starting March 13 - 17, 2023. You will notice a morning pick up and drop off and an afternoon pick up and drop off.


The Tennis matches scheduled for tomorrow 3/2 have been moved due to forecasted weather. The matches will now be played March 31st at 3:30. Come out and support our Tennis teams.

Last Wednesday, MUSD sent ten students to the Greenlee County Spelling Bee. It was a battle of spelling words. In the end, Catalina Garcia (7th grade) claimed the championship, and Sadie Bausch (8th grade) was runner-up.
Catalina will represent Greenlee County in the Arizona State Spelling Bee on March 18 at the Madison Center for the Arts in Phoenix.
