Congratulations to Our Wildcat Welders!
We are pleased to announce that our Wildcat Welders have successfully obtained their OSHA-10 Safety Certifications. In addition, they have received Certificates of Knowledge in Welding Safety from Lincoln Electric and the National Coalition of Certification Centers (NC3). This initiative is part of a new program introduced this year alongside our Welding Career and Technical Education (CTE) program.
The students have demonstrated exceptional performance both in the classroom and in the shop, marking the beginning of an exciting journey for our program. As we strive to meet CTE standards in the upcoming semester, our Wildcat Welders will be focusing on the following certifications:
Level 1 Welders: Principles of Welding and Welding Math and Measurements.
Level 2-4 Welders: Principles of Welding, Welding Math and Measurements, as well as certifications in SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding).
We are more than just an elective; we are building a bridge from high school to the workforce by equipping our students with essential life and professional skills to prepare them for the future!
Mr. Aguinaga is very proud of all the students' achievements. We gotta keep on, keep'n on!
Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year!

In our everchanging world , our MHS Junior GIFT electrical students who learn how to navigate electrical simulators on computers are now adding “Computer Control 1” to their program list. This is a new course implemented this year to help instruct students on the difference between Relay Control Logic and PLC Computer Control.
Utilizing CCW software, the students develop a “Ladder Control Logic” program. The students design the computer program, and then upload their newly designed program into the Program Logic Controller (PLC). Based on the inputs and outputs and the addressing of these I/O devices, they can have the computer and simulator do a wide variety of mechanical and electrical operations, based on the program they have written.
It’s an introduction to electrical computer control and an exciting opportunity in a high demand, ever-expanding field of electrical work.

Our MHS Student Council hosted a Thankful Thursday Turkey Contest! Students and staffulty were asked to share what they were most thankful for and why receiving a free turkey would be meaningful to them. Congratulations to our winners!! We hope all our wildcats had a wonderful break!!
